Temperature Blanket Kit 2025

Record 2025 in yarn with the Fleece Artist Temperature Blanket Kit by knitting one row per day based on the temperature in your hometown. Making a temperature blanket is more than a daily knitting practice, it’s also a mindfulness activity and thoughtful connection to our natural world.  You can start on January 1st or start anytime to mark a special year – Baby’s First Year, Graduation, Wedding Anniversary etc.

We have upgrade the 2025 kit to include 1700g/2550m of Fleece Artist Chinook worsted weight yarn, 30% more yarn than last year to better anticipate unpredictable weather patterns.  This blanket knits to appx 48″X 50″ in our included mitered square pattern or appx 50″ X 60″ in a basic garter stitch.

We’ve included 20 graduated colourways from frigid to scorching along with a bonus celebration yarn in Hand Maiden Mulberry Tussah Silk to mark your special occasions and a bit of soft Kid Mohair to celebrate a “snow day”. This year we have used a variegated colourway every other temperature range to make those weeks when stuck in a weather pattern a bit more interesting to knit.  Colour quantities are adjusted to reflect seasonally average temperatures along with plenty of colour variety at the extreme hot and cold ends of the spectrum and we have provided a temperature zone map to help you set your range for the year.

The kit comes in an archive box to help keep you organized and/or for gifting when the project is complete.

Two box options available – our Canadian Classic Option with a balance of cold and hot temperatures, and the Temperate Option for places with more hot weather.
